Come and enjoy the romantic beauty of Northumberland on a traditional working farm within the Northumberland National Park.

Westnewton Estate offers self catering accommodation at the heart of the spectacular scenery of the north Cheviot hills.

An ideal base for a walking and cycling holiday with tempting routes for all abilities on your doorstep. The beautiful Northumberland coast is within easy reach.

You may fish our private stretch of the River Bowmont which runs close to the cottages. There is also a wealth of wildlife including deer, red squirrels and foxes. Bird watchers will not be disappointed either as hundreds of species live nearby. See if you can spot our heron by the river and the barn owl flying low at dusk.

Northumberland is steeped in history and many castles and museums are an easy drive from the cottages. Closer to the cottages you can see examples of prehistoric hill forts, thousands of years old yet only a short walk away.

 

The traditional stone cottages are former Estate workers' dwellings, which have been fully refurbished to a high standard and have washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher as standard. All fuel and electricity is included in the cost.

Dogs are welcome in both of our cottages.



A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, fruit, and locally produced cheese is provided for you until you are able to get to Wooler, only six miles away, where there are supermarkets and shops.
